The purpose of life is not to be happy - but to matter, to be productive, to be useful, to have it make some difference that you have lived at all. ~Leo Rosten
We all genuinely want to make a difference in the world we live, but we are all so caught up, focussed on our needs that we always pass the buck. We wait and look around for a prophet or a God to appear and do our bit hoping the world will take care of itself. We forget we are the world.

I read a very nice write-up by Joel Osteen. To summarize it in a quote:
If you have much, give of your wealth; if you have little, give of your heart. ~Arabian Proverb

As for me, i like to think :
I am a little pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the world. ~Mother Teresa (Agnes Gonxha Bojarhiu)
