Living in the modern age,
death for virtue is the wage.
So it seems in darker hours.
Evil wins, kindness cowers.
Ruled by violence and vice
we all stand upon thin ice.
Are we brave or are we mice,
here upon such thin, thin ice?
Dare we linger, dare we skate?
Dare we laugh or celebrate,
knowing we may strain the ice?
Preserve the ice at any price?

Paramahansa Yogananda has quoted : "Life has a bright side and a dark side, for the world of relativity is composed of light and shadows. If you permit your thoughts to dwell on evil, you yourself will become ugly. Look only for the good in everything so you absorb the quality of beauty."
Evil describes that which is regarded as morally bad, intrinsically corrupt, wantonly destructive, inhumane, selfish, or wicked. In most cultures, the word is used to describe acts, thoughts, and ideas which bring about destruction and harm. Some people are dead morally and ethically and commit violent acts springing out of nothing but jealousy and a false ego. I have been thinking that a belief in Satan, Devil or AntiChrist is not necessary, men alone are quite capable of every wickedness. The greatest evils flows from self.
Buddha has said : " Evil exists so that good can prove its purity above it.
Looking at the more positive side of the coin of circumstances...
How lucky people are when they know (really know) that they have someone who will “stand by them” no matter what. It takes a painful incident to find the diamonds in our life that will shine the brightest in pitch darkness. They are the angels on earth. Bravehearts who will fight for you and support you without thinking of the aftermath. I feel sad for the people who have perfect lives and never get to really find out who these people are in their lives. It is amazingly empowering to have the support of a strong, motivated, and inspirational group of people. Even to hear and share true stories of courage, acts committed to helping another ignites love and hope in a bleak world.
How many hearts do u have across continents that say, " Take me in into your darkest hour, and I'll never desert you."
Do you know, who, you will stand by?
Do you know, who will stand by you?
You are truly blessed if you have immediate answers (ofcourse to yourself). :)
Signing off on another great quote - Nothing baffles the schemes of evil people so much as the calm composure of great souls. - Mirabeau, Gabriel Riqueti
